Nosara isn’t a resort-strip honeymoon destination, and that’s the draw. It’s a small, low-key beach town where the biggest luxury is having nowhere you have to be. The Harmony Hotel on Guiones Beach is the standout property here for couples — quiet, design-forward, adults-friendly, with an on-site restaurant and yoga studio and a short walk to a mile-long stretch of sand that rarely feels crowded. Sunset is reliably good most of the year.
Couples tend to split time between the beach and the surrounding forest — this is one of the better spots in Guanacaste for spotting howler monkeys and scarlet macaws right from a hotel property. A surf lesson together (even a bad one) is a common highlight people mention afterward. For food, the town has a genuine restaurant scene for its size, including a few spots doing serious Mediterranean and Peruvian-influenced menus, not just beach-shack fare.
We’d usually recommend 3–4 nights here as part of a longer itinerary, paired with a rainforest or volcano stop, since Nosara alone is quiet enough that some couples want a contrast destination too.
