Upon your arrival at the capital of Costa Rica, San José, you will be greeted by a representative who will escort you to your hotel. San José, a bustling city nestled in the Central Valley, is surrounded by lush mountains and is known for its vibrant culture, historical landmarks, and excellent cuisine. You’ll be staying at Finca Rosa Blanca Coffee Plantation Resort in a Junior Suite. You’ll depart early in the morning by plane for Tortuguero National Park, a critical nesting site for green sea turtles on the Caribbean coast. The journey to Tortuguero is an adventure itself, as there are no roads and access is only possible by plane or boat, enhancing its secluded and magical appeal. The region is one of the rainiest parts of the country, fostering a biodiverse paradise teeming with wildlife including monkeys, sloths, and numerous bird species. The adventure continues as you travel to Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve by crossing Arenal Lake by boat. Monteverde is a world-renowned ecosystem known for its immense biodiversity and conservation efforts. Here, the Monteverde Lodge & Gardens will be your base for exploring the cloud forest.
