Embark on Unforgettable Luxury Experiences in Costa Rica

Central Pacific Luxury Experiences

The Central Pacific’s biggest advantage is proximity — Manuel Antonio National Park’s beaches and trails are minutes away, and the drive from San José is short enough to leave a full day at either end of a trip. Arenas del Mar is the property that best takes advantage of the setting: an all-suite hillside resort with its own private beach access, built into the rainforest canopy rather than cleared for it, so wildlife sightings — sloths, toucans, white-faced monkeys — happen from the room as often as on a guided hike.

Inside the national park, a local naturalist guide is worth the cost; groups spot far more than they would alone, since spotting scopes and trained eyes make a real difference in dense forest. Outside the park, the region covers a wide range of higher-end experiences — sport fishing charters, catamaran sunset sails, zip-lining above the canopy, and a restaurant scene in Manuel Antonio and Quepos strong enough to fill several nights without repeating.

Two to three nights covers the park and a couple of activities comfortably; longer stays give more room for the resort itself, which has enough on-site programming — spa, multiple pools, ocean-view dining — to justify time spent not leaving the property at all.
