The main entry of Monteverde Lodge and Gardens has high wooden ceilings, an open fireplace, restaurant and bar. The service style is personalized, informal, caring. The food is what a Costa Rican grandmother would cook if she was also a creative and contemporary professional chef. The atmosphere in the lodge is quiet, laid back and tranquil with an open fireplace, no background music and the bar serves up creative cocktails.

Activities

Suggested activities while you’re at the lodge, explore the gardens, with La Posa de Doña Yolanda solar-heated pool, the main fern and bromeliad garden, and the butterfly and humming bird garden. Among the suggested activities in the area are hiking or bird watching with a naturalist guide, horseback riding, and zip-lining or hiking through the canopy.

Rooms

Second floor rooms with two full beds , high wooden ceilings and a private balcony with a Cloud Forest view, two wooden chairs and a coffee table. Ground floor Forest View Downstairs Rooms with a corner bay window with two wicker chairs and a coffee table designed to put you in the forest.

Food

Begin and end your days in the El Jardin Restaurant at Monteverde Lodge. The menu includes the freshest local produce simply prepared. All meals include fresh homemade bread. The wine list includes some of the best South American Wines.
